Description
For this project, I created an illustrated movie poster based on a film featured in the Lindenwood Film Series. The goal was to visually communicate the central themes and tone of the film through thoughtful illustration and typography, rather than attempting to depict the entire plot. To prepare, I researched the film extensively—watching trailers, reading reviews, and exploring behind-the-scenes content—to fully understand its mood, key themes, and artistic direction.
After developing three unique poster concepts, I selected the strongest design and brought it to life through animation. The animated version was carefully crafted to reflect the essence of the film in a unique and creative way that complemented its narrative and aesthetic.
To take the experience further, I used a program called EyeJack Creator to transform the animated poster into an augmented reality (AR) experience. By scanning a QR code, viewers can use their device’s camera to see the poster come alive, blending traditional illustration with interactive digital media. This final AR layer adds an immersive dimension, making the poster not just a visual piece, but an engaging experience that connects viewers more deeply with the film.
